Sprint will launch its own NFC-based mobile wallet this year, says the NFC Times, citing sources within the telecom.
The source told the NFC Times that its wallet offering would provide a “legitimate alternative to Isis” — a statement that, if true, says a lot about Sprint’s opinion of its current mobile wallet partner, Google. Virtually all Google Wallet-equipped phones are currently sold through Sprint.
