iZettle Blocked From Accepting Visa Payments In Three Countries

IZettle, the Square-like mobile swipe reader specialist based in Europe, says it is no longer capable of processing Visa card payments in Denmark, Finland or Norway, effective Aug. 1. The change is due to a “policy decision” by Visa Europe, CEO Jacob de Geer says in a blog post, without providing additional details.

    The company does accept MasterCard in all three countries, and in addition can process American Express card payments in Finland, as well as Diners Club purchases in Denmark and Norway, a statement explains.
