Uber Launches In San Francisco One Day After NYC Discontinuation

Uber has announced in a blog post that it’s launching the “Taxi” version of its car service in San Francisco, notes Tech Crunch.

    The announcement comes just one day after Uber cancelled its beta program in New York City after regulatory opposition and disputes with the Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC). Earlier this week, Square ended its New York City program thanks to TLC disagreements as well.
