Vodafone Chief Executive Officer Vittorio Colao has said he believes mobile payments will increase in prevalence in the U.K., reports The Telegraph.
“I hope 2013 will be the year of the launch,” Colao said. ““In Europe everything takes too long because we have organizations and bureaucratic controls that are excessive. Now that we have the authorizations we will do our best [to launch mobile payments as soon as we can] but getting the permissions takes longer in Europe. Everything takes longer.”
