African eCommerce Site Jumia Raises $26 Million

Rocket Internet eCommerce site Jumia has raised $26 million in funding as it continues its mission to become the Amazon of Africa, reports TechCrunch. Summit Partners was responsible for the funding round, and has recently backed Rocket companies such as Lazada and Zando as well.
