Starbucks has issued an online Groupon coupon for the first time, offering $10 of in-store value for those who buy a $5 coupon, according to Bloomberg. After the offer was initially made public, the site allowing purchases temporarily shut down.
“We’re experiencing a huge reaction to the offer, so it’s temporarily down,” said Linda Mills, a Starbucks spokeswoman. “It should be up and running very soon.”

More than 100,000 of the Groupon deals have been sold to this point. Starbucks offered similar deals through Google Inc. and LivingSocial in 2012.
