Nintendo Looks To Add NFC Payments To Wii U

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has confirmed that his company is considering adding NFC payments capabilities to its Wii U platform, reports Finextra.

    Nintendo is considering using the East Japan Railway Company’s “Suica” smartcard in its Wii U consoles. According to Iwato, the move would allow gamers to make low-value purchases and “expand business opportunities that take advantage of small payments.” Consumers can currently add funds to their Wii U devices through the Nintendo eShop.
