Uber CEO Travis Kalanick said on Twitter yesterday that a Reuters report indicating that Uber was seeking a new funding round at a $1 billion valuation was incorrect.

    “This company has not pitched a single investor since November 2011 and has not sought any funding whatsoever since then,” Kalanick told Business Insider in an email. He also characterized the Reuters story (seen here) as “completely false.”
