Ingenico, Heartland Payments Partner For EMV Solution

Ingenico and payments processor Heartland Payments Systems have partnered to develop E3- and EMV-capable attended terminals, reports Finextra.

Heartland has selected Ingenico’s Telium2 software for its new terminals and PIN pads, which it plans to deploy in the U.S. beginning in Q4 2013.

“Our partnership with Ingenico will blend three critical components — innovative payment transaction technology, mobile marketing acceptance and a payment data security solution — to bring mutual benefits to both merchants and consumers,” said Michael English, executive director of product development at Heartland. “Merchants will be able to mitigate electronic payment acceptance risk while reducing their PCI compliance scope. Consumers will have the convenience of choice to pay with whatever method of payment they choose and feel confident that their card data is protected.”
