ANZ Uses NCR ATMs To Cut Transaction Times

ANZ Bank New Zealand is adopting NCR’s Cash Recycler 11 throughout its Asia-Pacific locations. The machines will distribute all bank notes directly to customers, keeping deposited bills in a safe, which will allow ANZ to remove cash drawers and loose cash from teller counters.

    This initiative will eliminate teller handling of the bills, a move the company says will improve security and allow the banks to redesign their interiors. This includes proposed plans to reimage these spaces without the counters and glass that many have come to associate with banking so that customers can have more personal conversations with employees.
