WikiLeaks Re-Accepts Card Payments After Valitor Dispute

WikiLeaks has announced that they are now able to process credit card donations through Iceland’s Valitor, reports Bloomberg. Valitor is a partner of MasterCard and Visa Europe, and was ordered by the Icelandic Supreme court to continue processing payments for WikiLeaks. WikiLeaks signed with Valitor as their payment services provider, but after releasing public information that Valitor found contentions, Valitor stopped their services. Valitor lost the case in court on Aprill 24, and was ordered to restart payments processing within a 15 day period or face daily fines of about 800,000 kronur.
