Bulgaria Gets Touchy-Feely With New ATMs

Mellon Bulgaria EAD, a payment solutions provider in Bulgaria, announced the launch of the country’s first touch-screen ATMs, reports Finextra. Teximbank installed the new ATMs that operate on Agilis software.

    Tony Stoychev, retail banking director at Teximbank, told Reuters, “We are pleased to launch yet another first from Teximbank. We operate more ATMs across Bulgaria, which are extremely popular with customers. Touch-screen ATMs are a highly efficient channel through which customers can easily carry out remote banking transactions.”

    The touch-screen ATMs are the first of their kind in Bulgaria, and will allow users to complete several branch-like banking transactions such as deposit automations, printing passbooks that record transactions and other banking services.
