Online commerce giant Amazon is working on building out its food delivery service, according to a Business Insider report.
“They have made progress on the economics over the last year,” said Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos in response to a question during the meeting Thursday morning at Seattle Center. “They’ve been doing a lot of experiments and trying to get the right mixture of customer experience and economics. I’m optimistic that the team is making good progress,” Bezos said according to a Geekwire report.

Amazon operates a local food delivery service called Amazon Fresh in but has not expanded the service “beyond a few Seattle zip codes.”
