Colorado State Fair To Go Cashless In 2013

From August 23 to September 2, the annual Colorado State Fair & Rodeo will convene in Pueblo with one notable difference this year: cash won’t be accepted.

    According to local Fox affiliate KDVR, the fair plans to use an electronic card payment system to allow attendees to make purchases. General Manager Chris Wiseman cited the contactless shift as one of “a number of positive changes for fairgoers and staff.”

    Wiseman indicated that he suspects some potential attendees may have reservations about the plans, holding a Q&A last Friday to address “questions regarding the use of the cards.”
