Russian Beeline Set To Launch NFC Payments

BPC Banking Technologies, a global provider for Open System ePayment solutions, along with Alfa-Bank, Russia’s largest private bank, announced the roll out of a new contactless payment service for the Russian telecom operator Beeline, reported Finextra. The contactless service will employ NFC technology through MasterCard PayPass Mobile.

    The service will allow users to make payments with their mobile phones and is undergoing its initial pilot stage with the Alfa-Bank customers. The solution aims to improve secure and fast payments, and is backed by SmartVisa, which also supports Alfa-Banks whole payment processing system.
