Gokul Rajaram, formerly director of ads at social giant Facebook, is departing for major point-of-sale (POS) provider Square, according to a release. Square said Rajaram will be working on Square Register, the company’s iPad POS system, where he will lead software development.
“I’ve been fortunate to work for two mission-driven, world-changing companies, and Square’s vision and passion for helping businesses grow is inspiring,” Rajaram said in a statement.

Square has seen a number of major personnel changes in recent months. In January, it lost COO Keith Rabois, but it has added senior executives from major companies like Apple, Google and Tesla.
