San Francisco-based mobile taxi app provider Uber has raised $361 million as part of its latest private equity round, VentureBeat reported on August 22.

    Contributors to the round included Benchmark, Google Ventures and TPG. Google Ventures led the fundraising with a $258 million investment, according to TechCrunch.
