Global ATM Market Fueled by Demand for Cash

A study by the London-based research and consulting firm Retail Banking Research (RBR) predicts that the use of ATMs could grow by 44 percent between 2012 and 2018, ATM Marketplace reported on September 26.

    The growth is due to countries in Asia, the Middle East and Africa. RBR also predicts growth in Europe and Latin America. In North America and western Europe, growth is expected to be subdued due to more mature markets and effects of the financial crisis.
