Twitter, Starbucks Team For Social Gifting

Seattle-based coffee chain Starbucks and California-based social giant Twitter have teamed up for a unique virtual gift card service, Finextra reported on October 28.

    Entitled ‘Tweet-a-coffee,’ the program allows Twitter users to send $5 Starbucks cards to friends by composing a tweet that includes both the handle @tweetacoffee and the recipient’s Twitter handle.

    The companies revealed that they will be awarding free $5 gift cards to the first 100,000 customers that take advantage of the program.
