Billtrust Launches Email-Based Bill Payment System

Billtrust has announced the release of EmailPlus, a new service that enables bill recipients to electronically pay for charges they receive via email, according to a press release from November 7.

The company stated that its new service helps reduce processing costs for both billers and recipients. At the same time, EmailPlus is designed to be both secure and easy to use.

”Increasing the use of online payments that deliver the needed remittance data is becoming more important for companies as they face slower mail times, increased costs and inefficiencies in payment application,” Bruno Perreault, Billtrust’s senior vice president of payments, said in a November 7 statement. “This service is the new path to electronic payment adoption.”
