    Following Bitcoin’s rise, other virtual currencies like Litecoin, Namecoin and Megacoin have all seen significant price jumps around the holiday, though this was followed by a decline. One litecoin is currently trading for around $30 on alternative currency trading platform BTC-e. Namecoin trades for roughly $7.5 dollars.
