Plastic Gun Creator Developing Bitcoin “Dark Wallet”

Cody Wilson, the inventor of the first-ever 3D-printed firearm, is leading an effort to develop a new kind of Bitcoin wallet, the Wall Street Journal reported on December 31.

    Known as Dark Wallet, the program adds a second layer of encryption to a Bitcoin transaction by scrambling the letters and numbers forming a block chain.

    According to Treasury Department spokesperson Stephen Hudak, U.S. security experts are concerned about the legal implications of Dark Wallet and other efforts to mask virtual currency transactions.
