According to a January 4 post on Reddit, the company will be testing in-game Bitcoin payments with popular games like FarmVile 2, CastleVille and CityVille.

“Zynga is always working to improve our customer experience by incorporating player feedback into our games. We look forward to hearing from our players about the Bitcoin test so we can continue in our efforts to provide the best possible gaming experience,” the company wrote in the post.

The announcement helped support an increase in the price of Bitcoin. On Mt. Gox, one of the many Bitcoin exchanges, the price exceeded $1,000.
