Ecommerce doesn’t seem like a relevant topic when the conversation is about petroleum, but Ian Drysdale will need to be an expert in both fields to succeed in his new role.
Drysdale is the new president of Heartland Payment Systems’ network solutions division, and will now spearhead Heartland’s growth efforts involving retail, eCommerce “” and yes, the petroleum industry.
Drysdale spent five years at WorldPay before joining Heartland’s leadership team “” and that was after more than a decade at First Data Corp.,where he held a variety of positions. We ask Drysdale about the impact his previous experience will have on his efforts to master a new space, and what he sees happening in his part of the payments industry over the next several months.
