Restaurant management and gaming hardware and software developer “E la Carte” opened its platform to outside developers, says TechCrunch. Already a provider of an interactive table tablet for Applebee’s, the company said that it wants to be able to enable any developer to distribute applications on its platform.
Rockbot, a company that sells a social media jukebox app, installed its app on some E la Carte tablets. The company’s CEO Garrett Dodge noted, “When you come in to a restaurant or any other retail businesses, technology has changed that experience.” E la Carte, he said, allows users to interact with games and have a social experience – which will keep them coming back.
