The bug causing app icons to drop off the home screens of Apple Watch Series 7 has been resolved, according to 9to5Mac and other reports.

Within some 24 hours of being released last Friday (Oct. 15), most customers of the new Series 7 had an issue that affected the number of apps showing up on the watch’s home screen.

The bug was first brought to light on Twitter by iOS and Mac app developer James Thomson, who experienced the problem first-hand and fixed the problem on the server-side, according to phonearena.com.

Anyone with the Apple Watch Series 7 can resolve the problem in several ways, one being to manually remove and re-add the missing apps, according to 9to5Mac. The App Store will also automatically update some apps.

Another reason for missing apps on the home screen could be due to the larger screen size —1mm taller at 41mm and 45mm — which means more pixels, according to phonearena.com.

In 2018, Apple Watch Series 4 owners experienced similar issues because the 32-bit watch apps wouldn’t load on the 64-bit devices when linked to an iPhone 6S Pro. In the end, developers of affected apps had to release new versions.

In August, Apple paused further production on its latest watch over suspected design flaws that could interfere with functionality, PYMNTS reported.
