Pennsylvania-based banking services provider PNC Bank has opened its first pop-up branch in Atlanta, Bank Credit News reported on August 19.
The 20-by-8-foot temporary, steel location will be open every day through mid-November at the city's Atlantic Station. It measures 160 square feet and fits on the sidewalk, The Financial Brand said.
"Branch convenience to home remains the [number one] reason that consumers choose their primary bank, but they are using branches very differently today," Todd Barnhart, the bank's executive vice president of branch banking, said, according to the source. "This pop-up branch is a creative way to bring banking to customers and help them experience the innovative solutions we offer."
