Today in the connected economy, real estate management firm Jamestown teams up with BitPay to accept cryptocurrency-based rent payments. Plus, Fingerprint Cards and Transcorp collaborate to bring biometric cards to India, and payments technology firm Payix offers online cash payment acceptance — or eCash — to clients of Nortridge Software.

Jamestown Accepting Cryptocurrency for Rent Payment Through BitPay Partnership

Real estate investment and management firm Jamestown is working with cryptocurrency payments processor BitPay to accept crypto-based rent payments for its properties in the U.S. with plans to expand into Europe. Jamestown will accept rent in a number of cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, ethereum, dogecoin, litecoin, along with five U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoins, with the possibility of more types being added later.

Fingerprint Cards, Transcorp Offer India’s 1st Contactless Biometric Card

Swedish biometrics company Fingerprint Cards AB is working with financial services firm Transcorp to bring biometric technology to India. The collaboration is aimed target India’s 940 million cardholders and marks the first time a contactless biometric authenticated card has been offered in the country. “This collaboration will bring consumers in India a more secure, fast and convenient payment experience,” said Michel Roig, president of payments and access at Fingerprints.

Payix, Nortridge Partner on Online Cash Payment Acceptance

Payments technology firm Payix is expanding its partnership with Nortridge Software, which makes tools for loan servicing companies and lenders. This stage of the partnership will see Payix provide online cash payment acceptance, or eCash, to Nortridge clients. “eCash streamlines payment acceptance by enabling borrowers to make payments on their loans using cash at thousands of participating retail locations, including major convenience stores, dollar stores and pharmacies,” a press release stated.

Syniverse and ConnectionsGT Debut WhatsApp Business Platform for Enterprises

Telecom firm Syniverse has joined forces with communications technology platform ConnectionsGT to integrate the Syniverse CPaaS Concierge Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering into ConnectionsGT’s communications platform. ConnectionsGT incorporated Syniverse’s CPaaS Concierge using the WhatsApp Business Platform, designed for medium-to-large businesses to send messages at scale through automation, personalization and interactive options. The partnership lets consumers use Syniverse’s cloud-native, enterprise-focused hyperscale digital communications and messaging platform, dubbed the Hyperscale Communications Platform.
