Google Expands Cloud Support for Early-Stage Startups

Google will be debuting new cloud features, a company blog says, which will help to support startups.

That will consist of several steps, including aligning the cloud startup program with Google for Startups. This will make it so customers can enjoy a consistent experience across all of Google and will let founders get access to Google mentors, products, programs and best practices.

In addition, the company wants to keep supporting founders just starting out. The blog notes that founders often have a great need for various kinds of tech and expertise, particularly early-stage startups.

The blog reports that the program will cover the first year of Google Cloud usage for startups backed by investors, through series A rounds up to $100,000.

That, Google says, will make it so the companies can begin building on Google Cloud at no cost. That will help them focus more on building their businesses.

The new offering will also reportedly make it so startups will have a simpler time accessing Google Cloud’s AI, ML and analytics features. It will help them access more quick building on the cloud infrastructure.

Google says its goal is to “help startups move fast now, without creating technical debt that will slow them down later.”

Google has also recently added a new “Offers” tab in its Play Store, which will assist users in finding deals in games and apps in various categories, like travel, shopping, entertainment and fitness.

The feature will come with sections like “offers for apps you might like,” which aids users in finding deals they might like. The company said it was working with developers of several apps and games to add new deals.

Google has said the rollout is “underway” and will become available to more people in various countries as the year goes on.
