Meet The Bot That Can Remember Anything For You

Can Phones Usher In Automation?
Wonder is a bot that can remember anything at anytime.

Wonder is a bot that can remember anything, then return that information via a text message whenever asked, according to TechCrunch.

It might seem like the practical applications of Wonder are nothing that can’t be solved via a quick Google search. However, it’s not always so convenient or easy to look things up on Google, and Google can’t remember your gym locker code, a friend’s birthday or the favored Starbucks drink of a coworker in the middle of an office drink run.

So, if used to remember the right things at the right time, Wonder can definitely be a pretty useful bot.

To sign up, go to Wonder’s website, give them a phone number and wait for a text back explaining how it works.

From there, just text Wonder info to be remembered at a later date — such as information about the date of that next important company meeting — and when the user texts Wonder a prompt asking the bot about the date of that next important meeting, Wonder quickly responds with the initial answer provided.

Wonder is the brainchild of a pair of University of Arizona students, Jordan Singer and Shivkanth Bagavathy, who teamed up to create the bot after reading an article on how Siri’s best feature was its reminders but that it was a shame that Siri could not actually be used to remember anything for its user, according to TechCrunch.

“It occurred to us that note-taking was not the solution, because it’s just not the right interface. Search becomes cumbersome after a point,” Shivkanth told TechCrunch. “Natural language and AI are becoming much more of a thing, and a bot felt like the perfect way to interact with this sort of product. It’s an incredibly simple way to remember things you forget often.”
