Barclays Fined $80,000 By ASIC For Unauthorized Withdrawal

Barclays has been fined $80,000 by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) for withdrawing $AUD13.8 million without authorization from on of its accounts in January 2011.

Barclays erroneously subtracted the amount from its Client Segregated Account and failed to refund clients within five days, reports Finextra.
