Although the world’s emerging economies are fast adopting the convenience of mobile wallet, security risks remain the primary concern in many markets, including much of Europe and North America.

Amongst those interviewed in Indonesia, 71 percent were comfortable with mobile transactions and in Uganda 43 percent of those surveyed believe mobile transactions to be secure.
Hamilton-Clark, CEO of TNS concluded during an interview with TradeArabia News Service that “despite different drivers and slow uptake across western markets, one out of three mobile users in the Middle East region looks ready to adopt the use of a mobile wallet.”
