An Irish artist has ripped through 1.4 billion euros – and not on a spending spree. Frank Buckley used the notes, borrowed from Ireland’s national mint, to erect a full-size house, according to a report by Finextra.
Just about every aspect of the home is made of notes and coins, including décor. Currently, the house features a living room, bathroom, bedroom and even a patio.
“It’s a reflection of the whole madness that gripped us. People were pouring billions into buildings now worth nothing. I wanted to create something from nothing,” Buckley told Reuters.
