Telefonica customers will soon be able to pay for purchases on Facebook, Google Play, the Windows Phone Marketplace or the BlackBerry App Store by sending charges directly to their mobile phone bills, Finextra reports.
In fact, the rollout has already begun in some parts of Europe, the report says, and will eventually reach 14 different operating businesses. In Latin America, mobile phone use is widespread but 60 percent of consumers don’t have bank accounts; in Germany, hundreds of thousands of consumers are already using the service, Finextra says.
