Braintree Now Processes $10B Annually

Payment gateway provider Braintree announced on July 3 that it now processes $10 billion in payments from merchants, TechCrunch reports. This figure was up from the $8 billion the company revealed in April.

    Of this total, the company said 25 percent of payments originate outside of the United States. Klas Back, general manager of international at Braintree, told TechCrunch that the company is finding a foothold in international markets due to the restrictions put in place by large European banks.

     The company revealed that it has also signed up Sweden-based game maker Mojang, best known for its signature hit Minecraft.
