Croatian Mobile Carrier Adds NFC Payments To Transport Pass

Vipnet, a Croatian mobile carrier, announced it has added NFC to its mPrijevoz service, which enables Osijek, Croatia travelers to store their transportation passes—Butra—on their mobile phones, reported NFC World. Customers who choose to use the payment service can validate their passes using contactless reader technology that have been installed on the city’s buses and trams.
