Google Maps Now Displaying Local Ads

Google updated its Maps app on August 8 to allow Google AdWords customers to target users with local ads after they’ve conducted a search, TechCrunch reported.

After searching, a box will appear at the bottom of the user’s screen. There, users will see the business’s name, a description of its services and directions to the location.
