i2c Teams With Heartland For Payroll Project

Commerce solution provider i2c announced a new partnership on July 15 with payment processor Heartland Payment Systems, a press release for the company said.

The companies will begin the partnership by collaborating on the National Restaurant Association’s Edge prepaid card program. The program will allow restaurant employees to receive payment on prepaid payroll cards. Users can then reap rewards for using the cards for purchases.

“We are excited to partner with Heartland and i2c to provide this benefit to the nation’s more than 13 million restaurant industry employees,” James Balda, senior vice president of innovation at the NRA, said in a statement. “Today’s restaurant employees are looking for better ways to manage their finances, and easily and affordably access their cash when and how they want it.”
