LivingSocial Debuts Extended Promotions, Introduces Marketing Tools

Washington, D.C.-based daily deals player LivingSocial has announced it will now offer extended promotions deals so merchants can avoid the one-time rush of business associated with its short-term offerings, Fast Casual reported on September 18.

    LivingSocial also added new free marketing tools for its merchant partners.

    Tim O’Shaughnessy, CEO of LivingSocial, told the media outlet the move is part of a broader strategy that finds the company pivoting away from daily deals.

    “We have moved from simply being a daily deal company to a real marketing partner for merchants by adding effective and custom solutions to improve their bottom line,” O’Shaughnessy said, according to Fast Casual.
