Microsoft Adds Ads To App Store

Global tech giant Microsoft is now offering third-party advertisers the ability to run advertisements on its Windows Phone Store, Mobile Payments Insider recently reported.

As part of the offering, Microsoft will give its ad partners unique device IDs. Microsoft has also agreed to pay developers more quickly for downloads through the Windows Phone Store.

The media outlet indicated that the move is an attempt by Microsoft to boost app downloads and better compete with Apple and Google for app revenue.
