Microsoft has announced that it will acquire Nokia’s devices and services division, the arm of the Nokia that produces tablets and smartphones, Business Insider reported on September 2.

    Microsoft paid nearly $5 billion for this part of the Finland-based business, and will spend another $2.2 billion on the rights to Nokia patents.
