Microsoft Makes Partnerships To Fight Financial Cybercrime

Microsoft is teaming up with several financial services providers and the FBI to combat the cybercrime malware known as Citadel, The Paypers reports.

    Citadel is a type of malware discovered in 2012 that monitors and records keystrokes once embedded in a computer. Cybercriminals then use the information to withdraw money or steal identities from victims.

    Some of the providers Microsoft will partner with include: the Financial Services – Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), NACHA, the Electronic Payments Association, the ABA and others.
