Netherlands-Based MyOrder Tests In-Store Mobile Couponing

MyOrder, an online shopping platform, is gearing up for a NFC mobile marketing pilot that includes 25 merchants in the Dutch city of Leiden, reported NFC World.

The trial will last for a duration of three months, and during the pilot consumers will be encouraged to tap NFC touch points in retail stores. Once a customer taps their phone, they will automatically be directed to the MyOrder app and collect a 0 €.50 credit in their MyOrder account. Upon opening the app, shoppers can then look for exclusive location-based vouchers that can be used with the app’s shopping portal.

“The NFC payment pilot in Leiden is an ideal playground to promote NFC products,” said NFC Support founder and CEO Tristan de Haas to NFC World.
