Fortis Mobile Money in Nigeria revealed that it is teaming up with ABC Transport PLC, the largest transportation carrier in the country, to launch a mobile ticketing and payments program, reported Mobile Payments Today. Commuters on ABC transport in Nigeria and West Africa can pay for travel expenses and board buses with their mobile phones.
Fortis Mobile Money is one of the many mobile money providers in Nigeria that aim to serve the country’s unbanked sector. Fortis now offers mobile ticketing, along with mobile airtime top ups and mobile bill payments.
