Norway’s Narvesen Launches NFC Loyalty Scheme In Latvia

Narvesen, the Norwegian store chain, announced the roll out of an NFC sticker-based loyalty scheme that will be implemented in all 250 stores across Latvia, reports NFC World. The Narvesen loyalty program initially stated as a sticker collection. However, customers will now be able to collect electronic points through NFC readers by tapping their mobile phones. The NFC terminals will then add up loyalty points for each transaction and store them in the user’s account. In order to take part in the program, customers must collect 10 paper-based loyalty stickers to trade in for a Narvesen ID NFC sticker. Customers can trade in stickers at all store locations and the sticker will be placed back onto the mobile phone.
