NY DFS Hits Bitcoin Companies With Subpoenas

New York’s Department of Financial Services (DFS) has issued dozens of subpoenas to companies associated with bitcoin, sources told The Wall Street Journal on August 12.

DFS is seeking information on anti-money laundering programs, consumer protection measures and investment strategies, the media outlet said.
