Report: One-Fourth Of Consumers Book Holidays Via Mobile

It isn’t surprising that Brits are opting to ditch colder UK climates in exchange for sunnier weather holidays. However, Mobile Entertainment reported a new study from Hotels.com that revealed one-in-four holidays are being booked on smartphones during work hours.

The study gives insight on how UK consumers are using mobile phones to conduct personal activity at work. Fifty-two percent of respondents confessed they use their smartphone to hide personal Internet-use during work hours. Twenty-six percent said they book holidays on their mobile phone. Hotels.com indicated the most popular times for hotel searching were between the hours 3pm and 4 pm.

Laura Watts from Hotels.com, stated, “Our phones are an extension of our lives whether we’re checking social media, making calls, taking photos or managing our lives through a plethora of apps.”
