Ripple Simplifies Bitcoin Conversion, Payments

Alternative currency exchange Ripple unveiled Bitcoin Bridge at Bitcoin London on July 2. GigaOM said the new service enables users to send payments in Bitcoin from the Ripple client. Bitcoin Bridge can also convert traditional currency to bitcoin without fees.

    “Now, anyone can send Bitcoins without having to use a central exchange,” CEO Chris Larsen said, according to the source. “At the same time, any merchant accepting Bitcoins now has the potential to accept any currency in the world.”
