Sberbank Backs mPayments Tech Startup Sequent Software

Sequent Software, a mobile commerce software startup, has raised $10 million in Series B financing, the company announced today. Sequent will use the backing to help with its commercial deployment of its Trusted Service Manager (TSM) and wallet platform.

    SBT Venture Capital – the venture arm of Sberbank, Russia’s biggest bank – led the round. Existing investors Opus Capital and Jado Investments participated as well. SBT’s Mircea Mihasecu will also join Sequent’s board.

    “Sequent’s TSM and wallet platform has been adopted and deployed by mobile net- work operators and card issuers around the world,” said Sequent CEO Robb Duffield. “This funding and the addition of Mircea to our board will allow us to continue to expand our team of industry experts, meet the growing market demand and scale for future growth.”
