Shopzilla Moves Toward Two-Click Checkout

Online shopping giant Shopzilla acquired mobile shopping startup Zappli on July 11, TechCrunch reported. As part of the deal, the entire Zappli team will join Shopzilla.

The move will give Shopzilla instaBuy, Zappli’s patented mobile checkout experience that provides two-click buying. Zappli’s myShopanion app had previously allowed consumers to purchase from merchants including Buy.com, Macy’s and Walmart.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed by either company, the media outlet said.
